He is survived by: his parents, Linda McKinley and Noah McKinley (Jess); his brother Aries; his grandparents, Kathy, Myra and George; his aunts and uncles, Robert, Frank, Steve, Pam and Jessi; his godmother Sarah; his close friends, Kayden, Owen, Aiden, Jada and Tyler; and also Tim.

“Gio was one of my best friends, he was a great brother, friend, son and just in all a great person. He will always be with us in our hearts and hes in a better place. Where hes at is peaceful and joyful, i think hes happy and he would want us to be happy too. He was a wonderful person and he will always love each and everyone of us. I know he was really close to his family and I can't imagine how hard it has been for them but think of it as hes not in pain anymore and that he is really happy.”
