He was predeceased by: his parents, Powell Glenn and Clara Mae Sanders (Tapp); his wife Gracie Frances Sanders; and his daughter Becky Downey. He is survived by: his children, Alan DeWayne Sanders, Jeffrey Warren Sanders, Robyn N, Schneider and Brenda Diane Sherif.
