He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Heiligmann Sr. and Ida Blank Heiligmann; and his siblings, Elsie Culak (Melvin Culak) of Boerne and Erven Heiligmann of Fredericksburg, TX.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bulgerin Heiligmann; his daughters, Cindy Hoegenauer (Dwight) and Denise Mays (Kevin); his grandchildren, Emily Hoegenauer, Ashley Hallmark (Cody), Trevor Mays (Lindsey) and Mikayla Mays (Reno Hellmann); and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Laramie Hallmark.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to First Protestant Church of New Braunfels or the charity one's choice.
