He was predeceased by: his parents, Ennis Shaw and Emma May Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Nina Ealy Shaw; his daughter Carrie; his son-in-law Michael Amason of Simms, Texas; his stepchildren, Jenifer Diebold (Wayne) of Texarkana, Texas and Christopher Ragan (Marilyn Moser) of Harrell, Arkansas; his brother Earl; his sister-in-law Nome Shaw; and his grandchildren, Ryan Hanna, Halie Hanna, Tyler Smith, Colt Smith, Tanner Bailey, Peighton Ragan, Kaitlyn Ragan and Britney Ragan. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bates Family Funeral Home (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
