He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hurd and Leila Hurd of New Boston, Texas.; his siblings, Margie Hurd, Willie Hurd, Jr., Larry Hurd and Harold Hurd; and his daughter Stephanie Hurd McCoy.
He is survived by: his grandson Aaron D. Hurd; his wife Cynthia Hurd of New Boston, Texas; his daughter Rhonda Denice Hurd of New Boston, Texas; his grandchildren, Christopher R. Hurd and Christian D. Hurd of New Boston, Texas; his goddaughter Lakeisha Brown of New Boston, Texas; his siblings, Otis Hurd (Mary) of New Boston, Texas, Sallie Alexander (Willie), Vivian Peterson, Myrtle Sutton of New Boston, TX and Mary Lou Hurd of McKinney, Texas; and his close friends, Phoenix Williams, Cleo Phillips, Jr. of New Boston and Wayne Cheatem of Hooks, Texas. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
