With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeff Everett Payne of New Boston, Texas, born in Corsicana, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 31, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Payne (Whitie) and Geneva Conner Payne; and his son Jeffrey Payne. He is survived by: his wife Melda; his daughters, Jill Whittington (Dale) of New Boston, Texas., Jana Storey of New Boston, Texas. and Denise McDaniel (David) of New Boston, Texas.; his grandchildren, Lindsey Richey (Jon), Braden McDaniel (Kim), Conley Hennigan (Amber), Spencer McDaniel (Harli) and Elijah Payne; his sisters, Mary Ruth Lowe and Carolyn Matthews (Eddie); and his friend Willie Lee Alexander.
