It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harlan Edward Barger of New Boston, Texas, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Barger and Ethie George Barger; his daughter Anissa Marie Barger; and his brother-in-law Paul McMahon. He is survived by: his wife Laverne Pope Barger; his son Garlan; his daughter-in-law Caitlin Barger of De Kalb, Texas; his sister Brenda Skelton of Hooks, Texas; his grandchildren, Gabriel Hamilton, Isaiah Hamilton and Abbigail Barger; his nieces, DeeDee McDowell (Tony) and Katy York (Alex); his nephew Lincoln Eisley (Amanda); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Anola Jordan, Kamryn McDowell, Dakota Eisley, Pablo Leal and Cruz Hernandez. He is also survived by numerous other relatives including in-laws.
