He was predeceased by: his parents, Armey Bernice Carr and Jane Rhodes Carr; and his daughter Cindy Marie Carr. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Carr of New Boston, Texas; his siblings, John L. Carr of Merritt Island, Florida and Mary Beth Mercer (James) of McDaniels, Kentucky; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Wayne Cockrell of Liberty Eylau, Texas and Lori Jane Clark of New Boston, Texas. He is also survived by many other relatives, including several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bates Family Funeral Home (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559). A rosary was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary of the Cenacle Catholic Church (212 W Magnolia St, New Boston, TX 75570).
