She was predeceased by: her son Jerry Simmons. She is survived by: her children, John Simmons and Cathy Harper Vincent; and her sisters, Mary Blanton, Mildred Coker, Betty Robinson, Shirley Smith and Edie Zehr. She is also survived by grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
