He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Meyer and Clara Meyer (Kaack); his wife Betty Ann Meyer; his daughter Cheryl Meyer; and his brother Gilbert Meyer.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Rudel (James) of Rosenberg, Texas and Leslie Meyer (Minnie Tom) of Arlington, Virginia; his brother Melvin Meyer (Jenny) of Rosenberg, Texas; his grandchildren, Shannon Mason (Greg) of Leander, Texas, Courtney Rudel of Richmond, Texas, James Rudel, III (Lettie) of Rosenberg, Texas, Heather Ashton (Brad) of Rosenberg, Texas, Lee Meyer and Asa Meyer of Arlington, Virginia; and his great grandchildren, Addison Young, Cameron Young, Emma Rudel, Tessa Ashton and Clara Ashton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
