He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Tielke and Minnie Tielke (Miller); his spouse Willie Mae Bockhorn; his children, Kerry (Mary) of Hunt, Lynn (Thomas Sury) of Richmond and Cindy (Mike Nulisch) of Needville; his grandchildren, Teresa Bosse, Jason Tielke, Joshua Tielke, Dana Maresh, Gene Sury, Justin Nulisch and Jayme Emmons; and his sisters, Viola Fuchs, Caroline Macik and Marje Janacek. He was also cherished by spouses, and 18 great grandchildren.
