He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Earl Blankenship and Marguerite Julia Hord Blankenship. He is survived by: his wife Elsie F. Blankenship; his sons, Larry Dale Blankenship, David Blankenship (Linda) and Brett Blankenship (Sandra); and his stepchildren, Mary Peters, Elizabeth James, Anthony Wayne Peters (Tina) and William Peters. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
