JUAN AGUAYO Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JUAN AGUAYO (Needville, Texas), who passed away on July 29, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 5th 2020 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the 5352 Katy Fwy (5352 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77007).
Juan Aguayo, was an avid music lover and musician. He peacefully passed away Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 within his home in Needville, Texas.
Juan was born in Ocampo, Guanajuato, Mexico to Jose Guadalupe Aguayo and Ignacia Gaytan. His family then relocated to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas when he was a child. As a very young man he learned to work hard and his life-long love for music began. He was a member and worked for the National Mexican Musician’s Syndicate as a member for a trio group.
In December 1962, he met the love of his life, Maria Guadalupe Aguayo and they married shortly after in April 1963. They lived together almost inseparable for over 55 years. Together they had 6 children, 27 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In 1980 they migrated to Houston Texas and finally moved to their home of Needville, Texas.
He loved trios, played guitar and sang for friends and family. He enjoyed visiting and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to be with family and was always up for a picnic, reunion or gathering of friends and family. He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all. He was a good husband, always loving and caring for his wife and always put her first. He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them, a loving grandfather and great-grand father to many. He is loved and will be missed by many!
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Guadalupe Aguayo; his children, Juan Carlos Aguayo, Jose Luis Aguayo, Elvira Aguayo -Saldivar, Gloria Elizabeth Macias, Marisol Zarate; his sons and daughter in laws, Caro Aguayo, Linda Aguayo, Antonio Saldivar, Martin Macias, Fernando Zarate; his grandchildren Max Ocon, Jr., John Ocon, Chris Ocon, Osiel Aguayo, David Aguayo, Zuly Aguayo, Andres Aguayo, Jovanny Aguayo, Jannet Aguayo, Jerardo Becerra, Jr., Johnathon Becerra, Peter Becerra, Ashley Flores, Aileen Becerra, Abbylenne Saldivar, Addylenne Saldivar, Vivianne Macias, Brandon Macias, Kate Macias, Erick Macias, Adam Zarate, Emily Zarate, Jolie Zarate, Samuel Zarate, Grace Zarate, Ethan Zarate, Sara Zarate; and his great-grandchildren Ciara Ocon, Jasiah Ocon, Olivia Ocon, Tison Ocon, Sophia Ocon, Luis Antonio Aguayo, Henry Aguayo, Nicholas Aguayo, Seigi Becerra, Allanah Becerra, Jerardo Becerra III, Lyric Becerra, Angela Rose Becerra, Aiden Becerra, Adrian Becerra, Jehonney Flores, Juan Flores, IV., Johnny Flores.
He is preceded in death by his son Martin Aguayo, his daughter Blanca Estela Ocon, and his parents Jose Guadalupe Aguayo and Ignacia Gaytan.
A funeral service will be held at Santana Funeral Home, 5352 Katy Fwy., Houston, Texas 77007 on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 1PM – 4 PM
