He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Scott, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Scott (Perry); his siblings, Raymond Scott, Jr., Helen Richardson (T. L.), Jimmie Scott, Dorothy J. Maxie (Darrel), Hattie Mae Scott, Linda Fay Comier (Charles), Rosie Foster (Robert I) and Margie Collins (Edwin); and his close friend Vernell Jammer.
