It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erma Evelyn Gorka (Needville, Texas), born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on September 25, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vladimir Straznicky and Marie Slacalik Straznicky; her husband Frankie Gorka; her parents-in-law, Frank Gorka Sr. and Catherine Gorka; her brothers-in-law, Julius Gorka (Dorothy), George "Jim" Gorka (Vernon), Ed Gorka, George Stavinoha and Ed Blazek; and her niece Elaine Zbranek.

She is survived by: her sister Charlotte Blazek; her children, Donny Gorka, Connie Kalinowski (Aaron) and Susan Teykl (Murray) of Needville; her great grandchild Judson Fabre of Louisiana; and her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Stavinoha of Needville and Angeline Gorka of Needville. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
