He was predeceased by: his father Daniel Henry Boethel. He is survived by: his mother Juanita Boethel of Port Lavaca; his wife Lynn Grell-Boethel; his children, Cathryn (Burton Fowler) and Daniel Boethel; and his siblings, Susan (Dave Norman) of Santa Cruz, California, Sharon (Michael Rau) of Port Lavaca, Lynette (Pat O'Connor) of Katy and Delvin Boethel of Rosenberg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
