We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2025, at the age of 83, Velma J. Jones of Nederland, Texas, born in Evans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Hinson and Minnie Hinson; and her husband Welborn "Will" Jones. She is survived by: her siblings, L. E. Hinson, Marie Hinson Parker, Jimmy Hinson and Johnny Hinson; her son Randy Brown (Dorothy) of Pt; her brother Tommy Hinson; and her grandchildren, Nikki, Rj Fernandez, Brett, Erica McPhatter, Jessica, Dewey Merren, Jordan, Bethaney Waldrep, Colt, Celia Brown, Chloe Brown, Madison, Tyler Clark, Connor, Rayanna Newcomb and Gage Brown.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Melancon's Funeral Home (1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
