He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Braquet Barras and Antoine Barras; his wife Velma; and his brother Bobby Barras. He is survived by: his stepdaughter Kerri Babineaux of Nederland; his grandchildren, Katie Montalvo (Morris) of Groves, Julie Fultz (Will) of Port Neches, Amanda Delcambre (Logan) of Port Neches, Britnie Hanks (James) of Van Nuys, California, Alexander Hanks (Kassie) of The Woodlands, Alan Hanks (Megan) of Port Neches, Caitlyn Shuler (Kol) of Richmond, Virginia, Spencer Barras (Blayne) of Richmond, Virginia, Wendi Kemp, Nikki Afinowicz (Caine), Amanda Seymour, Amy LeBlanc (Larry), Joey Babineaux (Amy) and Jenni Ray (Cody); and his sister-in-law Patti Barras. He is also survived by twenty-nine great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren.
