He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Marie Peterson Heaslet and James William Heaslet, Sr.; and his siblings, James W. Heaslet, Jr. and Johnnie Marie Pickering. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Heaslet of Nederland; his sons, Robert Reynolds of Port Acres and Richard Heaslet of Beaumont; his sister Diane Heaslet of Port Arthur; and his great-niece Miranda (Nathaniel). He is also survived by two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
