He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Wood and Belle Wood; and his siblings, Ruth Reeves, Eleanor Ebanks, Esther Hyde, Ethel Phillips, Peter Wood and Spicer Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Wood; his daughters, Theresa McDonald (Dwight) of Nederland and Wendy Trevino (Jason) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Stacey Hardin (Paul Wayne), Travis Thornburg, Ethan Trevino, Jennifer McDonald and Mark McDonald; his great grandchildren, Gage, Madi, Tucker, Emma and Asher; and his sister Alice Faye Phillips (Percy) of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
