He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ermel and Effie Dahl Ermel; his nephew Daniel; his sons, Tim Hall of Nederland Texas and Tony Hall of Nederland Texas; and also Elmer Harbour.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Wood Ermel; his siblings, Helen Ermel Harbour and Ronald Ermel; his sister-in-law Elna Smith Ermel; his niece Carolyn; his nephews, David, Gary and Jonathan; his friend Marvin; and his children, Robin Dale Ermel of Barney, Rhonda Renee Bosquez, Diana Lynn Brison of Nederland, Texas and Theresa Hall of Bridge City.
