It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian Ruth Wassenich (Nederland, Texas), born in Brookeland, Texas, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Powell (Hutto) and Jodie Powell; her husband Johnnie L. Wassenich; and her siblings, Pat Powell, Emma Boyd and Paul Powell.

She is survived by: her children, Kathy Felps (Lon) of Lumberton, Texas and Jodie Wassenich (Dannette) of Jasper, Texas; her grandchildren, Amy McCandless (Josh), Tommy Felps and Blake Hill (Laura); and her great grandchildren, Ava McCandless and Caroline McCandless.
