It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Willey of Nederland, Texas, born in San Augustine, Texas, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Andrew Hightower and Vera Myrtle Wagstaff Hightower; her husband Emory David Willey; her son James Andrew Willey; her daughter-in-law Velma Campbell Willey; and her siblings, Vernon Hightower, Jackie Hightower, Norean Evans and Frankie Nell Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Van David Willey (Roxanne) of Angleton, Texas, Arnese Marchand (Darrell) of Nederland and Anna June Willey of Nederland; her sister Lola Bell Runnels; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Willey (Courtney), Justice Marchand (Brooke), Sarah Phillips (Caleb), John David Willey (Crystal), Zachary Willey, Laura Patterson (Jason), Andrea Sanchez (Jose) and Andrew Willey.
