He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Wyble and Myrtle M. Wyble (Thibodeaux); his wife Mary Louise Wyble; and his sisters, Audrey Chatagnier, Marcella Nectoux, Eva Saulsberry and June Judice.

He is survived by: his children, James "Scooter" Wyble, Jr. (Darla) of Nederland, TX and Judith E (Wyble); his grandsons, Dustin Wyble, Prestin Wyble and Austin Wyble; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Jones, Pat Patterson and Minnie Patterson Hendricks.
