She was predeceased by: her parents, Aimee Schexnayder and Walter Schexnayder; her brother Walter; and her son-in-law C. Peter Walther. She is survived by: her husband Francis James, Jr. of Nederland; her children, Bonnie Walther-Conaty (Chip Conaty) of Houston, Deborah James Thompson of Beaumont and Lynn James (Debra Buchanan) of Port Neches; her grandchild Robin Walther (Laurie); her children, Carl Walther (Angela), Nicholas Thompson, Trent James (Jennifer), Taylor James and Trevor James; her great grandchild Rebecca; her grandchildren, Isabel, Charles, Samuel, Collin, Aiden, Jackson and Branick; and her siblings-in-law, Dr. Trent James (Kay) of Baton Rouge and Anne James Praetor of Las Vegas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were held right up to the time of the pandemic.
