She was predeceased by: her parents, Ola Burkett Anderson and Asa V. Anderson; her husband Ellis Thweatt; her children, Venita Joyce Hughes and Roy Mosley; and her sisters, Rachael Basnight and Jackie Medley.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Gibson, Randall Hughes (Donna) and Carolyn Koonce (Randy); and her sisters, Merle Harden, Gloria Faye Richter and Betty Sue Monk. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
