It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clyde East of Nederland, Texas, born in Rockwood, Tennessee, who passed away on October 15, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hope Price East and Clyde Charles East, Sr.; his wife Brooksie East; his son Dennis C. East; and his sister Betty Newman.

He is survived by: his children, Brooksie, Denise Hinton (Stephen) of Port Neches and Durise Leger (Keith) of Port Neches; his grandchildren, Jordan Leger, Shelby Leger and Brooksie East; his great grandchild Greenleigh Leger; and his sisters, Sue Norton of Florida, Virginia Taylor (Chuck) of Michigan and Geraldine Brandon (Donny) of Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Clyde's love of his church and his love of reading with contributions to First Baptist Church of Port Arthur, 3948 FM 365, Port Arthur, Texas 77642 or to Marion and Ed Hughes Library, 2712 Nederland Avenue, Nederland, Texas 77627.
