With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bessie Helmke of Nederland, Texas, born in Liberty, Texas, who passed away on December 26, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Walter and Bessie Lewis Phillips; her husband Burt Duane Helmke; her siblings, Max Allen Phillips, Flora Phillips Tucker and Wilda Wills Jameson Hughes; and her grandmother Wills Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Luanna Wilson (Will), Laurie Jordan (Johnny), Phillip Helmke (Pattye) and Bonnie Gaspard (Kirt); her grandchildren, Kristen Woodcox (Joe), Allison Barras (Brady), John Jordan, Jr., Emily LeBlanc (Eric), Beau Helmke, John Graves, Jr. and Austin Gaspard; and her great grandchildren, Drew, Annabella Woodcox, Vivienne Wilson, Olivia and Brody LeBlanc.
