It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alton Wayne Foxworth (Nederland, Texas), born in Beaumont, Texas, who passed away on July 9, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 13th 2022 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Broussard's Mortuary (Nederland) (505 North 12th Street, Nederland, Texas 77627). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 30th 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Alton Wayne Foxworth, 77, of Nederland, died Saturday, July 9, 2022. He was born March 2, 1945, in Beaumont, to Mary Beatrice Wagnon Foxworth and John W. Foxworth. Alton was a United States Army Reserve veteran. He retired from Pipefitters Local 211 after fifty-five years of service.
Alton enjoyed playing Dominos, gardening, and playing guitar. He was quite the joke teller and a wonderful dancer. When Alton was younger, he loved fishing with his grandmother. That is likely what inspired him to be so involved with his own grandchildren. He cherished his time with each of them.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Foxworth; children and step-children, Tammy Smith and husband, Jared; Troy Foxworth and wife, Crystal; Angel McCord and husband, Walter; Danny Credeur and wife, Melanie; and Michael Engle, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Jordan; Caitlyn; Dana; Shana; Brianna; Alyssa; Colby; Audrey; Ethan; Emilee; Logan; Holden; Cody; Braydon; Dawson; and Dennis; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Larice Beagle and husband, LeRoy, of Nederland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and twin daughters, Darla and Karla.
A memorial service for Mr. Foxworth will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1315 South 27th Street, Nederland. Cremation arrangements are being handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
