He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Odell and Bertha Francis Smith. He is survived by: his wife Connie Joann Smith; his sons, Micheal David Smith (Carla) of Hearne, Robert Joseph Smith (Cody Leanne McCarthy) of Pflugerville, Stephen Wayne Smith (Tami) of Marion and Anthony Jay Smith (Katy) of Big Spring; and his brother Richard Earl Smith (Rose) of Houston. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Navasota (301 Church St., Navasota, TX 77868). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
