He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Franklin and Alice Franklin (Little); his wife Jerry Lean McHenry Franklin; his son Henry Lee Franklin; his close friend Jimmie Chandler; his children, Pearlin Franklin Jr., Charles (Sandra Franklin), Leon Chandler, Keith Franklin, Lisa Williams and Wilma Davis; his siblings, John L. Franklin, Mayco Franklin, Maxine O. I. Franklin and Beverly Ward; and his daughter-in-law Althea Franklin. He was also cherished by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
