He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Max Jr. (Melody), Steve and Alane "Lanie" (Clay); his siblings, James, Jerry and Shirley; his grandchildren, Max III (Lauren), Sarah (Savannah), Lacey (Logan) and Jackson (Abigail); and his great grandchildren, Mason, Parker, Sydney, Archie, Max IV, Luke, Chase and Jane.
