He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan De Dios Salazar and Evangelina Flores; his daughter Maricruz Salazar De Elias; and his siblings, Benjamin Salazar, Juana Salazar and Sofia Salazar.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalinda Salazar; his children, Juan A. Salazar, Flor (Jose Amaya), Elizabeth Salazar and Mayra (Raul Guajardo); his son-in-law Silvestre Elias; his siblings, David Ramirez, Soila Salazar (Manuel Gonzalez), Angelica (Enrique Ocanas) and Valentina Avalos; and his grandchildren, Flor Itzel Rodriguez-Salazar (Amanda Salazar), Esmeralda Ramos, Rubi Ramos, Lucero Amaya, Ivetth Fernandez, Erick Guajardo, Elaina Salazar, Julianna Salazar, Estella Amaya, Christian Guajardo, Andres Luna and Jonathan Ramos. He is also survived by his 2 great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nobles Funeral Chapel (402 Blackshear St, Navasota, TX 77868). A rosary will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ Our Light Catholic Church (9677 Hwy 6, Navasota, TX 77868). A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM at the Oakland Cemetery (801 6th St, Navasota, TX 77868).
