He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Garlin Vaughn, Sr. and Ellen Vaughn; his grandmother Buddie Shackleford; his brother Charles Vaughn; and his grandchild Codie Vaughn.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Vaughn; his children, Glenn Garlin Vaughn III, Benjamin Keach Vaughn (Jennifer), William Trenton Vaughn (Andie) and Sallie Kate Vaughn; and his siblings, Malcomb Vaughn (Toni), Linda Kervin (Buddy) and Ellen Hambrick (Jimmy Sullivan). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
