He is survived by: his son Gerald Allen; his wife Laura Cherry Purcell of Navasota; his son G. A. Purcell (Jenny Purcell) of Austin, TX; his granddaughter Gillian Downey (Travis Farmer); his great grandchild Marlowe of Austin, TX.; his cousins, Emily Jane Atkinson, William Atkinson, Charlie Parker and Robert Parker; his sisters-in-law, Jean Bullard of Fort Worth and Ann Farrell of Albuquerque; and his nieces and nephews, Amy Gross of Navasota, Douglas Powell of Navasota, Elizabeth Hendrie of Missouri City, TX, Stephanie Prange of California, Hunter Farrell of Wyoming and Ross Tiemann of Fort Worth.
