It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Baker of Navasota, Texas, born in Galveston, Texas, who passed away on July 31, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Bell Sr. and Enola Bell; her brother Clarence Bell III; and her stepfather Alonzo Denning. She is survived by: her former husband Larry Paul Rodgers Sr.; her husband Lownie Ray Baker; her son Larry Rodgers Jr. (Tiffanie); her stepchildren, Christine Baker-Johnson (Maurice) and Jarrett Baker; her brothers, Anthony Bell (Angela) and James Bell (Ann); and her grandchildren, Chloe Johnson, Marshall Johnson and Tyler Johnson. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
