It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Dolores Vasquez (Natalia, Texas), who passed away on August 1, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonora Uriegas and Manuel G. Uriegas Sr.; her stepdaughter Gloria Smith; her grandchildren, Noah Hoover and Crystal Cooper; her stepchildren-in-law, Gloria Vasquez and Rudy Morales; and her siblings, Rafaela Uriegas, Emilia Alvarado and Israel Uriegas.
She is survived by: her husband Raul D. Vasquez Sr. of Natalia; her children, Melissa A. Vasquez of San Antonio and J. J. Vasquez of Natalia; her stepchildren, Santiago M. Vasquez of Natalia, Grace Cooper (Talton Jr.) of Houston, Raul Vasquez Jr. of Natalia and Vangie Morales of Natalia; her siblings, Elias Uriegas, Sr. (Socorro) of San Antonio, Oralia Padilla of San Antonio, Rosalia Ramirez (Israel) of Poth, Dalia Maldonaldo (Enrique) of San Antonio, Irma DeLaCruz of San Antonio and Manuel Uriegas Jr. of El Paso; her grandsons, Ely Jaye Vasquez (Pallbearers), Moses Kenneth Smith, IV, Jose Angel Vasquez, Michael Lynn Vasquez, Talton Charles Cooper, III and Delbert Hoover, Jr.; and her great-nephew Christopher Edward Uriegas. She is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to American Parkinson Disease Association: Hope in Progress (apdaparkinson.org) or to her home church, Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalén in Natalia, TX.
