He is survived by: his wife Maria Ortiz of Natalia; his children, Zilkia Ortiz of San Antonio and Hector Ortiz Jr. (Sarah) of San Antonio; his grandchildren, D'Angelo R. Ortiz, Sierra J. Ortiz, Y'Daniz A. Sotelo and Solana R. Ortiz; and his siblings, Carmen Melendez, Angel Ortiz and Raul Ortiz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
