He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Cannon and Lucille Porter; his siblings, Mary Duncan and Billy Cannon; and his grandson Ronald Jay Cannon, II.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Cannon; his children, Donald Ray (Diane Cannon) of Texarkana, Ronald Jay (Barbara Cannon) of Texarkana, Robert Matson Cannon of Ft. Worth, Texas and Mary Jean Delcruze of Hooks, Texas; his stepson Mike (Susie Spellman) of Lindale; his grandchildren, Brad Cannon of Texarkana, Steven Cannon of Texarkana, Kristie Dempsey of Texarkana, Jason Dempsey of Texarkana, Andrew (Kennedy Spellman) of McKinney and Ryan Spellman of Arlington; and his sister Sue Hopkins of Mauriceville, Texas. He is also survived by 3 great-grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
