With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lela Wynell Hamilton (Nash, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 10, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Lela Wynell leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Jonathan and Amanda Van Deaver (Archibald); her spouse Jessie Hamilton; and her sisters, Lorene Moore, Ruth Crenshaw and Betty Jean Simmons.
She is survived by: her brother Albert Dean VanDeaver; her sister-in-law Margie Terral; and also Ruben Jordan (Delores).
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapelwood Funeral Home (1015 N Kings Hwy, Nash, TX 75569). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Center Ridge Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 611, Maud, TX 75567.
