He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Melton and Velma Melton; his wife Jeanette; his siblings, Wilmer, Russell and Sue; and his daughter Penny Soriano (Ed).
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Melton, Bessie Allen, Claudine Barnette and Ann Mulkey; his son Roy Melton (Beth); and his grandchildren, Misty Durett, Christopher Johnston, Troy Ryan, Jennifer Heintschel, Monica Melton, Lucas Hall, Khrystina Gullett and Anthony Soriano.
