He was predeceased by: his parents, James Surrency and Virginia Meta Sawyer Surrency; his former wife Katherine Anne Surrency; his brother David Surrency; and his daughter Rebecca Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Cole Swing Surrency; his children, Stephen Mark Surrency of Miami, Florida and Priscilla Laura Schuls (Dale Sr.) of Florida; his stepson Stephen Quinan Swing (Jennifer) of Houston; and his sister-in-law Claire Cole Lillie (John) of Bryan, Texas.. He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crowder Funeral Home (111 W. Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX 77598). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church (16335 El Camino Real, Houston, TX 77062).
