He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Laney and Neoma Davis; and his sisters, Geneva Echols and Mildred Hicks. He is survived by: his children, Rodney Laney of Naples, Texas, Sherrie (Jim Martin) and Tina Glubke of Omaha, Texas; his siblings, Ouida Patton of Omaha and Bobbie Nell Goodwin of St. Louis, Missouri; and his close friends, James and Michelle Barton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
