He was predeceased by: his parents, Simmie Jones and Rosielee Everett; his wife Zadie Marie Carter; his son Charles E. Jones; his grandsons, James Jones and Larry Jones; his daughter Doris Ann Bryant; and his siblings, Dorothy Jones, Fannie Jones Rodgers, Mary L. Jones Mitchell, Charlene Jones Johnson, Nona Ruth Jones Barber, Robert Jones and S. J. Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Lewis of Naples, TX and Willie Jones of Naples, TX; his sister-in-law Bessie King; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Jones; and his cousins, A. J. Jones and Earnest Jones. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
