It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Lambert of Nacogdoches, Texas, born in Saint Charles, Illinois, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her birth mother Betty Hardin (Timms); her father Harold Hays (Faye Hays Harvey); her brothers, Charles W. Hardin of Nacogdoches, Steve U. Hayes and Michael S. Hardin; her niece Kacie M. Hardin; and her stepson Chance Lambert.

She is survived by: her father Charles Hardin; her stepmother Linda; her brothers, Anthony Hardin (Nancy) of Arkansas and Kevin Duncan Hardin of Illinois; her former husband Thomas Lambert; her stepchildren, Lance Lambert and Melissa Wood (Mike) of Nacogdoches; her grandchildren, Ashley Selph, Brittany Dodd and Brandon Brookshire of Nacogdoches; her great grandchildren, Blake, Kairi, Bailee, Taylor, Chloe, Jett and Riverlyn of Nacogdoches; her niece Kandi Hardin of Kingstown; and her nephews, Cade Grimes and Cole Grimes. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

“Just received the sad news from classmates that still live locally. Lucy and I shared our birth-date, and were classmates throughout High School. She always was and remained, delightfully sweet, thoughtful of others, poised, and very much a lady. We did not see each other after graduation until our 35th reunion. The mettle of her character remained unchanged, and though life had dealt her several blows, she did not falter. To the ones around which she lived and loved, you were truly blessed.”
