He is survived by: his sons, Robert West of Beaumont and Gene West; his sister Mozell Byley of Nacogdoches; his granddaughter Pamela Stroud of Carthage; his great grandchildren, Christian, Desiree, Aaron, Bladden, Bryan and Maria; and his great great grandchild Ballemy.
