He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman A. Broom and Ruby Broom (Carlton). He is survived by: his wife Hilda Stanley Broom of Nacogdoches; his children, J. C. Broom of Midland and Jessica Broom Rucker (Cory) of Nacogdoches; his siblings, Martha Rae Luedtke and Norman A. Broom, Jr. (Delia); his aunt Margaret Daphon Gebhardt; and his brother-in-law Sammy R. Stanley.
