She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Birdsong and Frances Mauritzen Birdsong; and her aunt Florence Mauritzen. She is survived by: her husband Bob McKnight; her sons, Roger McKnight (Linda) and Wes McKnight (Natalie); her grandchildren, Macey McKnight-Whitney (Jon), Hadley McKnight Brown (Nathan), Indie Evangeline McKnight and Rhodes Everett McKnight; her brother Thomas Edward Birdsong (Barbara); and her cousin Mary Helen Walker Glass. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janice's memory to the scholarship that she and Bob set up at SFA for young married couples (Bob & Janice McKnight Scholarship Fund c/o SFA Alumni Association, SFA Box 6096, Nacogdoches, Tx 75962 or to Grace Bible Church at 2305 Raguet, Nacogdoches, Tx 75965).
