He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Faires and Dolly Mae Kirkland; his son-in-law Mark Parker; and his brother-in-law Byron Porterfield. He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Faires; his children, Connie Parker, Rachael Parker (Jeff), Melanie Martino and Bubba Faires (Sherri); his grandchildren, Tiffany Parker Hoya (CK), Kimberly Parker, Ashley Parker, Jeffrey Parker, Jason Parker, Natalie Murdock, Sophia Murdock, Casey Faires, Shelby Faires and Amanda Faires; his great grandchildren, Lane Parker Hoya, Colt Hoya, Mackenzy Hoya, Jax Parker and Korie Parker; and his siblings, Dorothy Porterfield and David Faires (Frances). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (2116 South St, Nacogdoches, TX 75964). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
