She was predeceased by: her father Walter Hulen Minton; and her siblings, John Minton, Paul Minton, Joseph Minton, Walter Hulen Minton Jr. (Blanca), Mattie Minton and Patricia Minton.
She is survived by: her husband Sherwood Whitehead; her children, Scott Whitehead (Brandy) and Kristi Roark (Edwin); her sisters-in-law, Vida Minton and Ann Minton; and her grandchildren, Alexandra Boyer (Aaron), Brittany Whitehead, Ben Roark, Caleb Roark and Jake Whitehead. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
